A look for airplane

It's difficult to dress for flights these days, especially when you start in a country that is hot and visit somewhere colder or other way round.

This is my (Sequins) idea of what to wear:

Shoes
I would wear something really casual but still with style. No uncomfortable shoes or heels as you'd be walking lots in airport and taking them off for the security scan machine part. I'd recommend flats like converse, sneakers, boat shoes...

Jewelry
For jewelry I'd suggest nothing metal for going through metal detectors so, wooden accessories would be a nice option or even plastic could be an option. The ones in the photo are wooden colourful beads on elastic thread. They look cute too and you can make stuff yourself or find a jewelry set to fit your style.

Being comfortable
I put a denim jacket with my outfit as it's really cold where I'm going but a hoodie/sweater would be great and comfortable too. You want to be able to sit for hours on the airplane without getting annoyed by your outfit.

Different temperatures in different country
If it's hot in one country but cold in the other layering right is key. I have a floral vest top with denim jacket in my look. Think of things you can remove/add to an outfit to fit both destinations e.g. light outerwear or hats.  Plus wearing bulkier things save room in suitcase such as a jacket or large summer hat.

No belts
Any pants/trousers would  have to be able to not have a belt as you'd most likely have to have to take the belt of at airport security.
The same thing applies for males too. Great pants/trousers to wear would be those with elasticated waist or try leggings with long t-shirt or dress you can sit in for long time. e.g. a t-shirt dress or casual skater dress that's not too short. Or try jeans without belts if they stay up easily like the ones in my outfit. (They do up with a side zip and fit snug on me).

Hopefully this gives you some idea on how to dress comfortably on airplans or long journeys it would apply for taking a train abroad for example.

Style finder look #5

Who said monochrome had to be boring? (Not me)

Technically it's not black and white with the daring canary yellow blazer. It would work well with a white one also. It's a very retro look that any body type can pull off. The skirt is a fabulous staple in a wardrobe/closet. This is for the simplicity of it and how you can change it up and style it for every occasion, formal, work to casual days.
Hats are becoming fashionable again from fedoras to floppy sunhats like the large black one. I often feel good in a hat and like it completes an outfit. The one in this look is very boho and summery.

Here are other hats of similar styling: (ideas of how to wear them)

From: http://callinamarie.buzznet.com/photos/summerstyle30fabulou/?id=68500840
This is a cute casual style for those who find dresses not for them. Shorts and jumper/baggy top look with dramatic shades. Looks very Vogue to me.

Find this look here: http://rachelslookbook.com/on-the-wild-side/
Another way to wear the hats is with a fun printed cotton pants. I've seen this style rock up loads for spring and summer warmer weather. A perfect look for covering up legs but, keeping cool too. These pants come in a huge variety of prints and colours and are creative looking. From leaves to zigzags etc...

This outfit is really romantic for warm weather. You can pair a floppy hat with any dress to be honest. Floral ones are just extra girly and  with spring feeling about it. Hats add a touch of glamour and sophistication. I see a great outfit for a bbq or picnic right there. You can style these hats by adding flowers and ribbon bands. Try matching the dress or part of outfit colour or fabric print... e.g. if you shorten a dress and have fabric remaining...decorate the sun hat with it.

Are wrap tops becoming the new smart trend?

These tops are really elegant and I figured I show you all how you can wear them. I've been seeing a lot of celebrities on TV adverts wearing them recently and they all look very well put together. Admittedly they have stylists to help them and they probably are versions on wrap tops that cost thousands.. However, if you read on you'll discover how you can look posh and elegant yourself without spending a lot of money.

First off here are a few celebs sporting these tops:

Jennifer Lopez
Emma Watson
Holly Willoughby
How I'd wear the top find it here:

How you can wear these gorgeous tops/blouses:

This link takes you to a how to wear drape top polyvore set where you can find cute places to buy the tops.
(plus the clothing featured in my style picture).

If you're worried about exposing your chest to the world you can put a vest top underneath.
Putting these tops in your wardrobe will mean you have a staple item that will go with anything. From jeans, pencil skirt to shorts will all look great with the drape top.
They would work for any occasion from in the office to at a party to even on holiday down on the beach.

To me they're the most versatile top out there to rock up this spring in shops everywhere.

'Handy' Jewelry

Jewelry made out of recycled dolls is what we have here. As seen the picture to the left, you might think this is cool however, I think this creepy. No offense! :)

Okay, okay, maybe you can agree with me here. They are creepy. Well, would you like to have those hands dangling near your neck? It almost seems like they are ready to choke you. Scary indeed.

Again, I am not chicken! I just wanted to state that these are not found in every store and are not the current trend but as you can see, someone decided to have some fun and cut dolls apart so we can wear them. Maybe I am sounding too dramatic right now. Oh well!

If you are into this kind of fashion, please do not be scared to state why you like them so much! Don't be shy! If you could, please tell us what would look best with this type of jewelry. Like, a modern look. We love your comments.

You can find other doll parts made into recycled jewelry pieces if you look on Google. The example to the left is a bracelet. It has that modern look to it with the metal in the middle but the hands give it some more unique looks? I don't know. I am just trying to stay honest here! Again, no offense if you like this kind of jewelry. It is unique, I can admit! Very unique! I love recycled fashions. Someone just had this idea and turned into something different and there is nothing wrong with that.

Unique indeed! These pieces of jewelry must be the 'attention-getters!'

If you wish to share your thoughts about these bracelets, please share below! Thank you! :)

How to Look Great in a Pencil Skirt

The Pencil Skirt was a hit a few years ago, but today you can still make the pencil skirt look great! Solid and bright, bold colours make the skirt one to wear today. It is quite a simple look yet it shows positivity and is just calling for some fun!

The Vibrant Pencil Skirt: 1) Cobalt Pencil Skirt, Glamorous; 2) Mint Sequin Pencil Skirt,Topshop; 3) Tomato Leather Zip Detail Skirt, Miss Selfridge; 5) Yellow Asymmetric Peplum Skirt,River Island. For more, visit: www.femside.com
Pencil skirts in vibrant colours are fun to wear! Brighten up any dull office day. Just look at those colours. How bright and fun!
Unlike the Skater Skirt for 2014, the Pencil Skirt should be styled, 'solid with solid.' Pair a solid top with your solid skirt and add a cute clutch and necklace in addition.

These skirts are really jolly to wear and I can't wait to try one for the spring/summer season! As I figure out a shirt to pair with my skirt, maybe I will link a picture in the comments of myself and my look. So, be sure to stay tuned!

Have any questions? Need help with anything? Be sure to comment. We would like to help you. Have something you would like to say? We love to hear positive feedback! Thanks. :)

Styling Skater Skirts

Skater skirts are so much fun! And for 2014, they got even more funner! (Yes, 'funner' is a word!) Because they are so tight, any shirt looks good with them, and you know, they just scream 'girly!' Styling them in 2014 has become simple yet defined. Below are some looks.

Denim has become a trend in the skater skirt. They are simple yet can be styled in so many ways.

Accessories do matter when styling this look, believe it or not! Shoulder bags are great! A necklace works well. Try to play around a bit when styling your skater skirt! Adding just one piece to your look can freshen things up a bit!

You may want to consider wearing a Utilitarian shirt with your skirt; as in the gray shirt on the right.

Darker coloured skirts or denim have really shown up around the skater skirt 'trend-line' recently. Also, for Skater Dresses, lace has become trending as well!

The Skater Skirt Look List for 2014
-Style solids with prints for a bold look!
-A bun in your hair is a great look with the skater skirt.
-Pair some simple boots with your skater skirt.
-The right pair of sunglasses can be added.

Remember for that fun, fresh look, a solid colour should be worn with a print, especially for 2014. Have fun styling this cute and girly look! :)

Is Velvet Making a Come Back?

A while ago, I saw a girl wearing a velvet dress. She paired it with black tights and black boots, which are trending big-time right now! Not sure if velvet was making a come back or becoming a trend again, I decided I would do some research!

For 2014, velvet can be worn modernly just as that beautiful girl had styled that dress. It was a simple outfit and looked very 'fresh' and 'new.'

Below are some ways velvet dresses can be worn today!
These dresses are so beautiful and are so very versatile.
Other ways to wear velvet garments:
These are great for the upcoming winter to spring transition. The velvet shorts add so much and add an extra touch to that tan, light-fitted sweater. A floral blouse peaking out under the sweater just assures us all that spring is for surely on it's way!

Boots have been a huge trend in the recent months and not just because of the autumn and winter. The versatility of them lets you add them to any outfit and shows off a twist of comfort and vintage style. Maybe try to pair a velvet boot with an outfit to add creativity. Both of the pictures above show a side of vintage style as well.

As I see it, velvet today will not hit the fashion market widespread. Searching on internet, there wasn't much to find for modern fashion. If you feel otherwise about velvet becoming a trend again, don't be shy about commenting! If you want to wear velvet, it will provide a look of vintage style. You will have to put the outfit together yourself though with pieces as there aren't many choices for velvet these days. Making it into modern style is all on you!
Now, for some red velvet cake...

Now you have pink hair,do you know what to wear?

Pink can be seen as girly and a lot like wearing candy floss on your head.
I know pink hair is hard to keep looking fresh as you have to keep dying it over and over. Plus the fact you have to bleach your hair first to even get any form of pink. That can damage hair over time.

    However,
There are many pretty forms of pink hair:

    Light pale Pink

    Purpley Pink
    Bright Pink
For pink hair, don't wear too many colour combination. Don't want to look like a clown do you?
Here are outfit ideas that might inspire you:
If you want to know where to buy anything featured here comment on the post and I'll tell you.

I hope it help you figure out a way to make your pink hair look amazing for you.
