Scarf and trousers matching

I was watching the Commonwealth games closing ceremony. One outfit stood out to me and that was the look of the famous singer Lulu was wearing.

The whole idea of matching a scarf to trousers/pants print seems classy. It's something I've never thought to do before and it works. However, finding scarf with same print as trousers can be tricky. Lulu also wore this easier to replicate outfit:
If you can't find prints that match then try bold colours instead. The concept of scarf and trousers matching is rather novel and to me screams autumn/fall.

Here are some other people wearing the scarf-trouser match look:

clip on fringe/bang

Ever felt like you wanted a fringe but not permanently or you are dressing up as a character who has a fringe but you don't? I've found you a solution. Some may say it's crazy or waste of money but what you do with your hair is your business and nobody else's.

Here is how to apply these bangs/fringes:

Hope you enjoy creating wonderful looks with fake bangs.

A look for airplane

It's difficult to dress for flights these days, especially when you start in a country that is hot and visit somewhere colder or other way round.

This is my (Sequins) idea of what to wear:

Shoes
I would wear something really casual but still with style. No uncomfortable shoes or heels as you'd be walking lots in airport and taking them off for the security scan machine part. I'd recommend flats like converse, sneakers, boat shoes...

Jewelry
For jewelry I'd suggest nothing metal for going through metal detectors so, wooden accessories would be a nice option or even plastic could be an option. The ones in the photo are wooden colourful beads on elastic thread. They look cute too and you can make stuff yourself or find a jewelry set to fit your style.

Being comfortable
I put a denim jacket with my outfit as it's really cold where I'm going but a hoodie/sweater would be great and comfortable too. You want to be able to sit for hours on the airplane without getting annoyed by your outfit.

Different temperatures in different country
If it's hot in one country but cold in the other layering right is key. I have a floral vest top with denim jacket in my look. Think of things you can remove/add to an outfit to fit both destinations e.g. light outerwear or hats.  Plus wearing bulkier things save room in suitcase such as a jacket or large summer hat.

No belts
Any pants/trousers would  have to be able to not have a belt as you'd most likely have to have to take the belt of at airport security.
The same thing applies for males too. Great pants/trousers to wear would be those with elasticated waist or try leggings with long t-shirt or dress you can sit in for long time. e.g. a t-shirt dress or casual skater dress that's not too short. Or try jeans without belts if they stay up easily like the ones in my outfit. (They do up with a side zip and fit snug on me).

Hopefully this gives you some idea on how to dress comfortably on airplans or long journeys it would apply for taking a train abroad for example.

Dog Tags and the Dog House

The 'Army' look that includes dogtags and heavy khaki or a green like material for a jacket has been sneaking in and out of the fashion world lately. One year, the army look heavily populated culture and then left. It snuck back once again for a short period and then drifted away. What is up with this style? Something tells me it can only last for a short period of time because nobody can sustain the green colour or the clanging of the silver dog tags which in return, leaves the whole 'army' style in the dog house over and over again.
I don't quitely prefer the look but may have changed my mind with the pairing of different patterns such as a bright colour or floral pattern. It has become a mystery as though because it just appears to be not fitted with style as often. But, on this blog, you can still look great if you have an old khaki or green jacket laying around. Let's show you some excellent ways to make this look still possible!

A skirt looks great with the jacket as seen the photos above. Try to pair the army jacket with a striped or floral shirt. Bright colours like the blue or even a graphic tee like the one on the left-hand side shown above. A cute, solid coloured belt works fine. These are just a great number of ways to look great and still in style with your army jacket.

Victoria Beckham and Kim Kardashian style the green army pant.

As for camouflage, there are some cute ways to style that look up too. The camouflage isn't in style at all currently but why let those pants sit away tucked in the corner of your closet? Here are some cute options for that look:

I hope you get inspired by these army looks. They can be cute to wear with some bright colours and maybe perhaps try to wear a chunky necklace with the look. Just play around with everything and maybe share a picture with us by linking it in the comments! Thanks again! :)

Create your own style or this might happen?

The more you come to peer pressure the more you will change to not being the person you were born to be.
Unless you like how they're changing you and feel it will help your life don't feel the need to change your look dramatically to fit in.

True friends will enjoy your company and let you come into their social group however you are.
If you aren't yourself as much as you can be you might miss out on people loving the true you. Or they say they love you e.g. in a relationship and down the line you're dumped when you're true you comes forward,
as you're more comfortable around them.

Are wrap tops becoming the new smart trend?

These tops are really elegant and I figured I show you all how you can wear them. I've been seeing a lot of celebrities on TV adverts wearing them recently and they all look very well put together. Admittedly they have stylists to help them and they probably are versions on wrap tops that cost thousands.. However, if you read on you'll discover how you can look posh and elegant yourself without spending a lot of money.

First off here are a few celebs sporting these tops:

Jennifer Lopez
Emma Watson
Holly Willoughby
How I'd wear the top find it here:

How you can wear these gorgeous tops/blouses:

This link takes you to a how to wear drape top polyvore set where you can find cute places to buy the tops.
(plus the clothing featured in my style picture).

If you're worried about exposing your chest to the world you can put a vest top underneath.
Putting these tops in your wardrobe will mean you have a staple item that will go with anything. From jeans, pencil skirt to shorts will all look great with the drape top.
They would work for any occasion from in the office to at a party to even on holiday down on the beach.

To me they're the most versatile top out there to rock up this spring in shops everywhere.
